From “hidden champion” to sustainability leader
We live in the age of sustainability and the pandemic has further strengthened the desire for authenticity, closeness to nature and considerate consumption. No destination represents this spirit of the times like Switzerland. We have always taken care to bring the needs of our guests, the local population and the environment into a harmonious balance.
We want and will strengthen this attitude in the future and also convey it to our guests. To this end, with the new Swisstainable sustainability strategy, we want to launch an effective movement together with the entire Swiss tourism industry.
With Swisstainable, we are taking a first major step that will secure the long-term success of the destination Switzerland and aims to make Switzerland the most sustainable destination in the world.
We are part of the Swisstainable sustainability programme and are classified at Level I – engaged. The Swisstainable sustainability programme brings together businesses and organisations along the entire Swiss tourism sector. By participating, we commit ourselves to continuous sustainable business development, pursue measures in the area of sustainability and thus make a concrete contribution to sustainable Swiss tourism.
